Marilyn Chew is a Singaporean calligrapher and designer. A mirror menu installation for a New York City cafe led to commissions for Skin Inc and SK-II. While a Creative Producer in a New York tech start-up, Marilyn side-hustled as a calligrapher. She practiced both modern and traditional calligraphy under various Master Penmen and other veterans in the field. Named one of the Most Fashionable Calligraphers in Singapore by Harper’s Bazaar, she has designed for international companies such as Christie’s, Google, Michael Kors and Sézane. Marilyn is a member of the International Association of Master Penman, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting (IAMPETH), as well as the Society of Scribes, New York. She has been certified in American Cursive Handwriting by Master Penman Michael Sull and President of IAMPETH Marie Hornback.

Marilyn gets her inspiration from her travels and the people she meets. When not in her studio, she can be found exploring new cafes or hiking. She is always looking for ways to learn and share her love for penmanship.
